This Saturday, March 26, will be our first Tac match this year.
It is different in several ways from our 3 gun matches.
The stage setups are more unique and geared toward a skilled match rather than run and gun.
We will go over rules and scoring that morning during the brief.
Setup is Friday for the ROs.
Registration is online through practiscore or on site at 8:30am and safety rules brief is at 9am,
first shot is at 9:15am.
5 stages…. 100 rd count on rifle and pistol (unless you are Joey), birdshot 40, bring slugs and buckshot up to 5 each.
We are going to make you think, and it will be a good shooting day. You want to be there.
As for gear and divisions….
We plan to focus on 3 divisions…
1. Undercover/Every Day Carry
But we urge everyone to go more toward one of the divisions listed above. Basically, shoot the match however your job or EDC setup dictates that you run.
Full armor down through concealed CCW…

We plan to focus on 3 divisions…
1. Undercover/Every Day Carry
- handgun and mags must remain concealed
- holster retention not mandatory
- long guns may match either of the other 2 divisions
- Regarding scoring, UC/EDC will lump into Patrol or Tac (depending on long guns used) but concealment is required!
- irons (or non-magnified red dot)
- Shotgun must be pump only (unless dept SOP dictates otherwise)
- duty gear (cop belt with other loadout)
- gear must be worn consistently throughout the match
- Sidearm holster must have retention
- factory mag configuration(17 rd cap), up to 3 total mags
- Optics available on long gun
- Auto weapons are allowed if issued
- “Full battle rattle” gear vest/armor/etc
- Shotgun may be semi if used in normal SOP
- Sidearm holster must have retention
- gear must be worn consistently throughout the match.
But we urge everyone to go more toward one of the divisions listed above. Basically, shoot the match however your job or EDC setup dictates that you run.
